A revamped brewery which is set to launch tours next month has also announced plans to offer customers a new range of beers.
The Backyard Brewhouse in Brownhills, near Walsall in the West Midlands, recently spent £250,000 on upgrading its facilities while also increasing its beer output from 15 barrels a week to 60.
Founded in 2007, Backyard currently brews beers such as Silly Rucker, Hell Bound and Lionheart and has plans to add a new ale to its impressive arsenal in the coming months with the intention of adding three more over the next two years.
The upgrade, which has allowed the brewery to acquire a new delivery van and equipment, came via a private investor. The funds have also led to the appointment of two new sales staff.
Backyard is well know for producing The Hoard, a light golden beer brewed especially to mark the 2009 finding of the Staffordshire Hoard – the largest haul of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver metalwork ever found.
